Through the years Deb has loved to paint, knit, sculpt and draw. She was bitten by the pottery bug in 2011 after taking a class in Phoenix with some friends. Soon after, she found a home at the Sedona Arts Center and began taking classes there. She splits her time between Phoenix and Sedona where she is fortunate enough to have her own studios. She enjoys throwing on the potter’s wheel. Recently she has begun sculpting with fiber clay and often combines wheel thrown and hand sculpted elements. She enjoys the process of Raku and the more organic forms of finishing her pieces such as using horsehair, Ferric Chloride and Saggar. She is inspired by the beauty of nature.
